Contradiction

$700.00

Oil on canvas 20x16 inch.

A still-life painting of contradictions. A combination and contrast of blue and orange, 2 complementary colors.

An oil painting, brought up in a variety of styles, made possible by the intense motion of brush strokes.

I was indecisive about whether to draw it in ink or paint it in oil. I ended up working my brushes as I would have done with a pencil. The tip of the brush, marking the canvas in diverse angles, thus determining overall form, allows for a graphic fashion.

Simple is intriguing.
